Carrie Beck APC, NCC
Are you struggling through a difficult season and feeling overwhelmed and discouraged?
Does therapy sound like it might be your next right step, but you aren’t sure what it will be like? I totally understand! It’s so normal to feel a little scared to open up to someone you don’t know. My goal is to help you feel as comfortable as possible by creating a judgement-free, compassionate space where you can show up honestly and authentically. Clients who have worked with me have said it’s like sharing with an understanding friend. I love to hear that. Whoever you choose to work with should feel like an ally on your journey. With an ally by your side, you can meet challenges with more optimism and hope.
As I get to know you, we will decide together what moving forward might look like for you. Along the way, I will try to help you hold self-compassion alongside your desire to see growth and change. Growth can be a messy process and I will help you learn how to hold space for and honor yourself. Self-compassion is a powerful coping skill that builds resilience.
I enjoy helping couples who want to restore and renew their relationships. Living and growing through life together can be challenging, and life situations can strain even the best of relationships. I love to help couples strengthen and improve their intimacy, recover from disconnection, and restore emotional bonds. Eighty percent of couples struggle in their sexual relationship at some point. Many don’t get any help and their relationships suffer and deteriorate. Working out issues in intimacy can be the inroad to a deeper, richer, and more satisfying relationship. I try to create a relaxed environment where couples feel comfortable talking about that aspect of your relationship.
I also work with individuals dealing with the effects of relational distress, chronic illness, and past trauma. I use non-pathologizing approaches to help clients break free from unhealthy patterns and move past difficult experiences and emotions. I also offer support for clients in their overall healing and wellness with holistic modalities when appropriate and desired.
